Description
Drawing on the symbolism of trees—growth, deep roots, and adaptability—TreeBloom rises from the site, transforming into a canopy that offers shade and a place for reflection. The intricate paneling system creates ever-changing shadow patterns on the ground, representing the passage of time and growth. As the panels climb the trunk and extend into the canopy, they evoke the movement of leaves in the breeze or seedlings preparing to take flight, embodying the natural cycles of growth and change.
From the pedestrian level, the project offers a beautiful and inviting space to pause and engage with the environment. Its elaborate structure provides a striking view for residents of the Rise on Meridian development and surrounding apartments, further integrating the sculpture into the neighborhood’s fabric.
Situated near the highway, TreeBloom serves as a symbol of the community’s resilience and hope for the future. It brings the history of the Old Southside Neighborhood into the present, offering an iconic, uplifting landmark that celebrates renewal and growth.
